Throughout most of its history, Flamborough, ON was made up of West and East Flamborough, Beverly and Waterdown townships before it was amalgamated into the Hamilton municipality in 2001. Early settlers harvested the pine and oak forests and milling their product, but as the forests were cleared, the land was devoted chiefly to agriculture, like corn, strawberries and other cash crops.
